So you’re looking for a pink dog collar. Ever wonder why the color pink is so appealing? Here are some reasons.
Pink represents several characteristics. One is a childlike innocence. Pink cheeks, pink blankets around an infant girl, fancy pink bows in grade school girls’ hair.
While red is more of a passionate, aggressive color, pink is its softer, subtler side. On the spectrum of pink, the hot pink side connotes more of a playful, invigorating state of mind, while muted, soft pinks subtly tickle the spirit and remind us of the promise of romance.
Pink idioms identify pink on the positive side of things. Being in the pink means being healthy. Tickled pink is used for those happy, amused people.
Some studies have concluded that when inundated visually with lots of pink, people become physically more tranquil. In fact, Baker-Miller pink, is used to calm violent prisoners. It’s close to the color of bubble gum or Pepto-Bismol,
and is also referred to as Drunk Tank pink. Not a particularly romantic name, but this pink does a good job of calming. Imagine what a splash of bubble gum pink could do for you via your dog’s collar. Create a calming effect, soothing minds, bodies, and spirits.
Along the spiritual line, pink is associated with the 4th Chakra, the Heart Chakra. When the Heart Chakra is healthy, feelings of calm, relaxation, and compassion are prevalent. Forgiveness, releasing past experiences, unconditional love and trust are other functions of the healthy heart chakra.
Remember, too, pink flowers. They are symbols of platonic or romantic love, grace, gratitude, thankfulness, fun, and happiness. Pink is a color that resonates all things good. Why wouldn’t a loving pet owner want at least one pink dog collar in her pet’s wardrobe?
